Digital Video Encoding
For VideoDirect Ad
Insertion and Local Origination
ETI's Digital Video Encoding Station (DVES) can be used to digitally
encode video from tapes at broadcast quality using MPEG-2 video
compression technology. Digitized content on the DVES can be easily
moved to VideoDirect for playback by way of a high-speed network
connection (fast Ethernet or ATM) or by cartridge tape media. Both
the DVES and VideoDirect are configured with a 100-Mbps Ethernet
network card and a high capacity cartridge tape drive. Encoded
videos can also be stored on tape or CD for backup or archiving.
ETI’s Digital Video Encoding Station delivers a high-quality
video/audio product. The encoding station supports a variety of
video streams including elementary, program and transport streams.
Supported audio formats are stereo and Dolby digital. Full and half
D1 video resolutions are both supported.
