Prepaid Video
Service Cards
Introduction To TV Ticket
Today, customer demand for prepaid services is rapidly on the rise.
With prepaid long distance, mobile phones and debit cards, why not
tap into a new revenue stream of prepaid video…independently from
your billing system?
ETI Software Solutions, an industry leader in video provisioning
technologies, has enhanced a proven platform that enables cable
television subscribers to order video services using a major credit
card or cash ticket.
TV Ticket offers four (4) distinct modules that may be
individually activated.....
- TV Ticket "Room Service" Module:
Combat OnDemand and Spectravision! Sell video services in
commercial accounts (hotels, motels, universities, resorts, etc.)
by enabling the viewer to purchase movies, channels and VOD using
a major credit card or TV Ticket (cash) card sold onsite.
- TV Ticket "Complements" Card
Module: TV Ticket may be used as a low-cost alternative to today’s
coupon system that rewards customers with a free PPV movie, but
proves to be a cumbersome customer experience and costly for the
provider to process. Eliminate processing costs associated with
crediting customer accounts and automate with TV Ticket!
- TV Ticket "Personal" Module:
Enable a residential subscriber to prepay, and purchase
programming that does not appear on their monthly statement. A
great application for gift cards or adult programming services!
Moves your product from the TV to the shelf!
- TV Ticket Passport Module: Puts
YOU in control of no-pay, poor-pay, no credit and cash only
subscribers. Controls and provisions all digital video services on
a prepaid daily-metered basis. When a subscriber’s account nears
zero balance, an on-screen message notifies the customer that a
new card needs to be purchase and activated. Automatically
disables services once credit is used!
General Description
The four modules that are available can be revenue-producing
alternatives to existing streams, but at a significantly lower cost
to the cable or satellite broadcaster. For subscribers, it provides
flexibility and convenience. None of the services require the cable
broadcasters to modify their billing system. All the cable
broadcaster is required to do is enter a single revenue adjustment
figure that accounts for the revenue that is generated for any or
all of the aforementioned capabilities.
It allows system operators to efficiently compensate their
subscribers in circumstances where the system operator wishes to
give away a temporary service, provides effective and low cost
commercial competition with ad-hoc video service providers in hotels
and hospitality establishments, allows consumers to buy premium
programming without the purchase appearing on their bill, and
provides a new, exciting and low cost means for broadcasters to
serve the credit challenged and unbanked communities.
Benefits For The Provider
Benefits for the cable service or satellite provider abound. TV
Ticket's "Passport" card allows total elimination for the need to
hire security personnel at cable office locations where cash is
collected from subscribers. It reduces or eliminates the bonding
premiums for cable employees since little or no cash is handled, and
can reduce or eliminate the need to perform expensive credit
checking for new subscribers. With these and other benefits, cable
service or satellite provides can streamline their manpower
requirements, thus allowing return of profitability or enhance
profits already being generated. For subscribers, it eliminates the
need for traveling and waiting in line at a limited number of office
locations in order to make a cash payment.
