IPTV Billing Management

BSS and OSS Solutions for IPTV Deployments

ETI’s IPTV products are designed to generate additional revenues by providing pay-per-view (PPV), pay-per-day (PPD), and subscriber management services; and facilitate convergent IPTV billing with telco, Internet and utility services. ETI products provide a wide range of services and features not available from other software and service providers.

ETI’s Triad platform leverages the company’s extensive experience provisioning customer premise equipment for IPTV, FTTH and Internet services. Today, in conjunction with global vendors like Alcatel, Optical Solutions, Wave7 Optics, Motorola and Scientific-Atlanta, ETI has deployed Triad with key customers, passing a total of more than 300,000 homes with fiber in each deployment.  For these clients, Triad seamlessly (from its Order Entry module) activates service ports within the fiber to the home network interface device (NID) mounted on the subscribers home, for voice, video or data services.  Once the NID is activated, Triad also provisions the set-top equipment within the subscribers home with the correct services ordered and sets the bandwidth for the modem depending on the level of service purchased.

Additionally, Triad enables any telephone or utility billing system to support all operational aspects of the IPTV business including: Order Entry, Work Order Entry, Pay-Per-View (PPV) schedule download and management, Reporting, Video-On-Demand (VOD) support and partner settlement reporting.  On command, Triad prepares billing records (up to 30 cycles) for all video, PPV, VOD and high-speed data services for the host billing system.  These charges may be included on a single consolidated bill or separate statement, optionally by customer.

It also can
facilitate a convenient single statement while automatically provisioning for telephone, utility, Internet and cable TV services.  Subscribers can place multiple service orders with one customer service representative, without annoying delays and transfers.  Automated digital and analog interfaces with Scientific-Atlanta, General Instruments (Motorola), CISCO, NDS, HITS, H2H, Next Level Communications, Tellabs and Blonder-Tongue are all supported by Triad.

Triad is designed to work with an existing billing system and provides the flexible rating capabilities needed to successfully deploy, manage and bill for broadband services. The Triad Work Order Management Software (WorkX) helps you manage the work in progress for your CableBridge subscribers.  It allows you to create work orders, assign them to departments or individuals, update them to reflect current status, and generate reports on them based on a wide range of criteria.  When a work order is completed, the changes to subscriber services are automatically committed to the CableBridge database.  WorkX is completely and seamlessly integrated with your CableBridge system.

Triad Multi ORG System allows municipalities, satellite carriers and telephone companies to share the cost of headend equipment and control systems. ETI has enhanced Triad to allow multiple organizations to share a single Traid server system.

CableBridge System Description illustrates the configuration of CableBridge and how it interfaces with the other elements of your cable system.  CableBridge is designed to act as the bridge between your existing business system and to provision services through various addressable controllers.  The interface between your business system and the type of addressability is independent, so it protects your investment as you install different types or versions of equipment into your network.

ETI supports many different Interfaces for Billing Systems and Addressable System Controllers. CableBridge and Triad accommodates both transactional interfaces and batch interfaces to your existing billing, along with proven interfaces for both digital and analog system controllers.

ETI provides CableBridge pre-installed on a computer platform.

Pay Per View Order Ahead

Although most pay per view (PPV) orders are made instantly with the remote control (IPPV), CableBridge and Triad allow advanced purchases of PPV packages that span multiple channels or time periods.  With
CableCall™, these orders can be placed automatically through an automated operator system (ARU or IVR system).

Prepaid and Credit Card Billing in High-Churn Environments:

TV Ticket® and Resort Manager increase revenues by providing Prepaid cards or VISA, MasterCard and American Express payment for instant pay-per-view and pay-per-day service in high churn, low revenue locations such as resort condos, hotels and resident training facilities.
