NEW YORK, NY -- Broadcast International, Inc. (OTCBB: BCST) (“BI”)

“IPTV North America World Forum
is an ideal venue for networking and to demonstrate our solution for
the increased bandwidth needed to accommodate the growing popularity
of people who are now choosing to watch TV on the Internet,” said
Rod Tiede, president and CEO of Broadcast International. “While the
bandwidth crisis and increase in IPTV has taken hold in other
countries, it is just beginning to expand in the U.S. and we intend
to be on the forefront with our CodecSys technology.”
The CE-1000 is designed for broadcasters who require high channel
density and is specifically well suited for IPTV, satellite and
Telco service providers, delivering a very cost-effective way to
solve their bandwidth crisis. The CE-1000 is a software-based
encoder featuring an industry standard, highly efficient, fully
compliant H.264 codec and can receive live input through a capture
board or encode from a file source. It encodes both audio and video
and muxes it using an industry standard MPEG 2 Transport Stream.
Studies show that in 2007, the number of households using IPTV grew
to over 14 million worldwide. That number is expected to grow to
more than 80 million households by 2011 and the CE-1000 will provide
IPTV services providers the ability to deliver compelling Internet
Protocol (IP) based content, services, and high-definition video.
The IPTV World Forum was developed as a direct response to the rapid
growth in the marketplace, bringing together operators, technology
partners and content providers to explore and define the IPTV
evolution. The show will be held July 21-22 in New York City, New
York, at the Millenium Broadway Hotel. Broadcast International will
be demonstrating the CE-100 in booth 9N. To schedule a demonstration
time, contact Jeremy Kartchner at jeremy@snappconner.com.
