MTS Allstream first company in Canada to commercially deploy
award-winning Microsoft Mediaroom IPTV
Portage La Pprairie, MB -- Today, MTS Allstream Inc. ("MTS
Allstream") launches an exciting new digital television service that
will fast forward residents in Portage la Prairie to the next
generation of high definition television ("HDTV"), personal video
recorder ("PVR"), improved guide features and many other exciting
advancements. MTS Allstream is the first company in Canada to launch
service with combined technology from Alcatel-Lucent Canada Inc.
("Alcatel-Lucent") and the award-winning Microsoft Mediaroom
Internet Protocol Television ("IPTV"). |

music channels and features like Video On Demand, new services
include 30 HDTV channels, with more channels to come in 2009; PVR to
control how and when programming is enjoyed; and an enhanced
Internet service and interactive program guide with built-in
picture-in-picture.
