May 12, 2008

Montreal, Canada -- HaiVision Systems Inc., the world’s leading vendor of performance H.264 network video codecs, today announces the appointment of Rick Snow as Vice President of Operations. Rick comes to HaiVision with an exceptional track record within high technology systems manufacturing and now manages all of HaiVision’s manufacturing and supply relations, order fulfillment, customer support and service.

Rick has excelled within both telecom and systems manufacturing. He joins HaiVision from Hyperchip, a developer of core internet routers, complex systems that manage some of the world’s largest IP backbone infrastructure systems. Previously, Rick built the system integration operations and order administration group for Autodesk/Discreet. Rick has extensive experience in technology supplier relationships, ERP/MRP systems, and production planning and management.

“Our company is growing dramatically, thanks in part to the huge success of our MAKO-HD technology,” expresses Mirko Wicha, HaiVision’s President and CEO. “We have put in place the people and systems that will enable us to exercise leadership within our very competitive market segments.” HaiVision is a top network video supplier to telepresence, medical, broadcast, and audio visual OEM customers and system integrators worldwide.

HaiVision’s MAKO-HD technology leads the industry in picture quality, reliability, and performance, achieving a remarkable 70 milliseconds of end to end latency. Officially released in January of this year, the MAKO-HD has propelled HaiVision to back to back record quarterly revenues. HaiVision has already shipped over 150 units of its fourth generation technology, the MAKO-HD telepresence codec, into all areas of the market including telepresence, education, medical, broadcast, corporate HD signage, and homeland defense applications.

Rick rounds out HaiVision’s executive team that now includes Francois Gariepy, Vice President of Product Development and Peter Maag, Vice President of Marketing and Business Development including his executive responsibility for HaiVision’s medical market strategy.
