The
software developer behind the Best Multi-Channel Operator Award 2006
(E-Gaming Review Awards) finalist, promises real-time virtual races,
with virtual horses trained by real owners; shows hosted by sports
journalist presenters, who both commentate on the races and interact
with the virtual community; and community based content generated by
the underlying player community.
Steven Spartinos, co-founder and director for Kiron Interactive,
says: “RaceclubsTV is all about providing the ability to own, train
and race your own virtual racehorse and watch it race, live on TV,
from the comfort and convenience of your armchair. IPTV provides the
optimum platform for our product and Global Digital Broadcast has
provided the optimum route to the IPTV market.”
Kiron Interactive uses photo-realistic
animation to replicate real sports events and its flagship internet
product, Raceclubs, was one of the first online skill-games
available online. Currently, Kiron Interactive supplies a number of
high profile online operators such as Ladbrokes, At The Races and
The Gaming Network.
David Wray, co-founder and director for Global Digital Broadcast,
comments: “We had been interested in acquiring a virtual horse
racing channel for some time and Kiron Interactive was the first to
come up with the quality of product we wanted. RaceclubsTV is
already attracting huge interest and it hasn’t even launched yet!”
RaceclubsTV will shortly be
available to view on www.raceclubs.tv, on the GoUK TV IPTV portal
from Global Digital Broadcast; and will be included on the IP
set-top boxes which are currently being installed around the UK as
part of the PlayTV UK consumer service.
