Selling Prepaid Video Service Cards Generates Instant Revenue
from Subscribers Who Wish To Prepay for Video Services
Atlanta, GA –– Enhanced Telecommunications (d/b/a) ETI Software
Solutions, Inc., a leading provider of automated, flow-through
service activation software, has launched TV Ticket, a solution to
deliver prepaid subscription video services, Pay-Per-View (PPV),
Impulse-Pay-Per-View (IPPV) or Video-On-Demand (VOD) services.
|
ETI’s TV Ticket
operates in conjunction with a service provider’s existing
addressable (IPTV or RF) video systems, enabling them to accept
prepayment for video services yet to be delivered. This technology
enables the service provider to tap into revenue from previously
unattainable subscribers. Subscribers are empowered to purchase and
self-activate subscription, PPV, IPTV or Video-On-Demand services by
purchasing prepaid TV Tickets from any authorized distributor.
Each TV Ticket is assigned a unique authorization code which is
concealed on the back of the card. Once the card is purchased and
the authorization code is revealed, the subscriber may self-activate
the card immediately via an Interactive Voice Response System to
provision the appropriate package, channel(s) or PPV event.
TV Ticket cards are available in four different products:
- TV Ticket Compliments Card: TV
Ticket may be used as a replacement of coupon systems that reward
customers with a free PPV movie and eliminates processing costs
associated with crediting customer accounts.
- TV Ticket Attractions Card:
Enable a residential subscriber to prepay and self-activate PPV
and VOD services that will not appear on their monthly statement.
- TV Ticket Passport Card: Puts
service providers in control of high churn, no-pay, poor-pay, no
credit and cash only subscribers by controlling and provisioning
all digital video services on a prepaid daily-metered basis.
Automatically disables services once credit is used.
- TV Ticket prepaid Room Service
card: Perfect for hotels, rental properties and any high-churn
dwelling, locales where subscribers only stay for a short period
can now produce revenue from premium services and PPV/VOD. As with
the other TV Ticket services, Room Service utilizes the existing
head-end and set-top box infrastructure to deliver services.
In conjunction with ETI’s Triad, a
system operator can define up to 500 different subscription services
which can be purchased with a TV Ticket card. A video service might
represent a package of channels, a premium channel multiplex (such
as HBO, HBO Family and HBO Plus), or a single premium channel (like
an adult channel).
“TV Ticket allows a service
provider to create new lines of business by providing a model to
serve customers who are unable or do not wish to subscribe to
services in a traditional monthly manner,” says Peter M. Pifer,
President and CEO, ETI Software Solutions. “With TV Ticket cards and
provisioning from ETI’s Triad, service providers can easily deliver
and bill for pre-paid services without risk of lost revenue.”
ETI provides a managed solution for manufacturing lot controlled TV
Ticket cards and unique authorization codes. With a simple ordering
process, ETI produces the specified TV Ticket cards with customized
artwork and activation instruction depending on the service
provider’s business requirements.
