Cambridge, UK -- Amino, leading IPTV platform supplier, will be
displaying innovative technology at IBC 2006 including the world's
first demonstration of Amino's Internet TV device named AmiNET125i
and the new fully featured SD multi-codec AmiNET125 IPTV STB.
AmiNET125i: Internet TV
The AmiNET125i is a flexible device allowing consumers to browse and
access video content from the Internet on their television. |

The demonstration
will go live at 3:30pm on Friday 8th September during Amino's
official 'on stand' launch event. It will feature content from
Narrowstep (web portal using 'mobile format') streamed from a video
server on an AmiNET125i STB with Windows Media 9 / Internet browser.
The concept shows how an advanced, elegantly designed, multi-codec
STB can be used to make the transition from an IPTV environment to
Internet TV. Amino will be showing how this solution can transform
the way partners deliver their services and enhance their business.
AmiNET125: fully featured SD multi-codec IPTV STB
The AmiNET125 is Amino's new fully featured SD multi-codec IPTV STB
and also the technology base for the AmiNET125i (described above).
The AmiNET125 provides support for a wider range of middleware and
CA options than the successful AmiNET124 and also includes
sufficient power to enable H.264 decoding and a responsive UI. The
device also enables operators upgrading seamlessly from MPEG-2 to
MPEG-4 without a hardware truck roll.
Amino is responding to the needs of the IPTV market for multi-codec
devices supporting SD video streams. The AmiNET125 offers operators
greatly increased return on investment (ROI) and average revenue per
user (ARPU) through the provision of support for future services and
a low-cost, powerful hardware blueprint.
AmiNET130 and AmiNET131: MPEG-4 HD IPTV STBs
The AmiNET130 and AmiNET131 are fully featured AVC HD IPTV STBs.
Amino's demo at IBC will show both devices' HD video and HD graphics
capability.
Amino technology will also be present in demonstrations by numerous
world-class partners at IBC.
