Kasenna PortalTV™ Customers
Sunnyvale, CA -- Kasenna, The IPTV Company™, today announced it
has been selected by Heartland Communications, and Kentucky
Telephone, two of the nation’s leading independent telephone
operating companies (IOC’s) to deploy Kasenna PortalTV as their IPTV
solution.
Kasenna PortalTV suite provides a fully-integrated, one-stop IPTV
solution for service providers. It is the only solution that is
deployable now, and able to provide an integrated network and IPTV
infrastructure carriers need to deliver advanced TV services such as
Video on Demand, network PVR, Start Over TV, and customizable
electronic programming guides (EPGs). |

At the core of the PortalTV solution is LivingRoom 2.0 – a new IPTV

LivingRoom 2.0 includes software for the consumer STB – the
LivingRoom 2.0 Client – and for the backend service creation,
management and delivery – the LivingRoom 2.0 Application Server.
Wholesale Play for IPTV
As the Telco industry is quickly adopting IPTV as part of their
triple play strategy, some IOC’s are taking a leadership role and
plan a wholesale strategy selling to other IOC’s who need to rapidly
deploy IPTV but don’t have the staffing or infrastructure to deliver
those services. Heartland Communications as well as others are
planning on using Kasenna PortalTV to deliver a fully integrated
package to both their subscribers as well as their wholesale IOC
customers.
