Las Vegas, NV -- NAB2006 Triveni Digital Booth #SU1999 Aircode and
Triveni Digital Inc. announced that they are partnering to develop,
promote and service new solutions based on the integration of their
leading interactive TV (iTV) and data broadcast platforms.
StreamScope™ monitoring and analysis systems and the Skyscraper™
content distribution platform from Triveni Digital will be
integrated with the TVPLUSi™ product suite from Aircode. The
companies expect the collaboration to accelerate the acceptance and
deployment of iTV and content distribution solutions.
New iTV solutions are expected to be both OpenCable Applications
Platform (OCAP™) and Advanced Common Application Platform (ACAP)
compliant. New applications enabled by the collaboration may include
banking, shopping, voting, gaming, distance learning, push VOD and
will support a variety of business models for enhancing the
profitability of broadcasters adopting these solutions. |

Cable Television Laboratories, Inc. (CableLabs®) literature explains
that the "OCAP specification is intended to enable the developers of
interactive television services and applications to design such
products so that they will run successfully on any cable television
system in North America, independent of set-top or television

ATSC literature defines "The Advanced Common Application Platform (ACAP)
is a comprehensive ATSC Standard that defines a platform for
advanced receiver functions. As such, it can form the basis for a
wide range of new services."
