D1 and D5 Join Envivio 4View Broadcast Series for Mobile, IPTV,
Enterprise and Broadcast Networks

professional decoder for high definition (HD) content and a new
decoder supporting mobile and standard definition (SD) content. The
D1 and D5 join the field proven 4View™ Broadcast Series the
industry’s first line of MPEG-4 professional decoders to deliver
improved quality and expanded application support within this ground
breaking series. 4View D1 and D5 systems provide real time decoding
and confidence monitoring of content as it passes from production
through distribution and is repurposed for delivery over mobile,
IPTV, enterprise and broadcast networks. 4View D1 and D5 systems are
ideal for broadcasters and network operators taking advantage of the
low bit rate and high quality compression of MPEG-4. Both systems

4View D5 Professional MPEG-4 Decoder for SD and HD Content
4View D5 professional MPEG-4 AVC decoder supports both SD and HD
content and decodes HD in both 720p and 1080i video resolutions. The
system includes IP and DVB-ASI inputs with digital HDSDI outputs and
offers broadcast quality audio featuring MPEG-4 Advanced Audio
Coding (AAC-LC) and HE-AAC with parametric stereo. 4View D5 may be
deployed with any open standards-based MPEG-4 encoding systems and
are compatible with ATSC, ISMA, DVB AVC, and DVB-IPI. The system is
scheduled for full availability in the third quarter of this year.
4View D5 is optimized for high-end contribution applications like
digital satellite news gathering (DSNG) and distribution
applications over a variety of networks.
4View D1 Professional Decoder for SD and Mobile Content
4View D1 is a professional SD MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 Main Profile decoder.
The system also supports AVC Baseline Profile as well as ASP and SP
video decoding, and MPEG-4 AAC/HE-AAC audio decoding. In addition to
high-resolution broadcast applications, 4View D1 supports a
non-scaled output option to allow mobile video streams to be
displayed in their native resolution. The system is scheduled for
full availability in the second quarter of this year. Ideal for all
fixed and mobile professional video contribution and primary
distribution applications, 4View D1 replaces the successful 4View
4500.
4View D1 and D5 Professional MPEG-4 Decoders Optimized for

Envivio® 4View Broadcast Series of professional decoders provide
real time decoding for all fixed and mobile professional video

capabilities, the 4View D1 and D5 decoders include an internal hard
drive which can be used to receive content transferred from any
standards-based MPEG-4 encoder and decode it on command. The systems
also offer a choice of transport protocols with support for MPEG-2
