Stockholm, Sweden -- 42Networks, a Stockholm and Shanghai based provider of broadband telephony products and services, has received an order for 33000 Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) residential units (DRG) from a customer in The Netherlands. The delivery will be made in cooperation with PacketFront, who is acting as total system supplier. The DRG units are for immediate delivery.

"We are very pleased to receive this prestigious order. It confirms 42Networks’ position as a leading FTTH CPE solution provider in Europe. This contract is especially important as The Netherlands is one of the key markets for FTTH deployments in Europe and it shows the increased demand for triple play services i.e. IP TV, IP telephony and internet access. 42Networks’ excellent telephony competence and capabilities are a very important contribution in this FTTH project", says Henrik Scharp, CEO 42Networks.

"We are delighted to further strengthen our partnership with 42Neworks by providing a very successful customer with this mass broadband deployment," said Martin Thunman, CEO of PacketFront. "Its industry leading voice software is cutting edge and this order of 33,000 DRG units is a clear indication of the growing recognition and need for a more sophisticated broadband solution.”

A DRG-unit allows the end user to easily access Triple-Play services in a fully-automated network. The end user can use standard analogue telephones to make telephone calls over the broadband connection and simultaneously connect user devices for other broadband services such as fast Internet and IP-TV.
