IPTV Scheduling Software

Datmedia launch new IPTV scheduling software: datpresenter™ IPTV SCHEDULER

Other Topics: Live Streaming IPTV, Interactive Broadband TV

Datmedia
August 29, 2006

Datmedia (www.datmedia.com) – a world leading developer of IPTV and online presentation technology – launch datpresenter™ IPTV SCHEDULER ─ their new IPTV triple play AJAX server-side application for Web 2.0 – at Stand 1.154, IBC 2006, 8th-12th September 2006 (www.ibc.org).

datpresenter™ IPTV SCHEDULER (currently being used on the IBC TV News web site www.ibctvnews.com) takes full advantage of the IPTV environment. Anyone with basic computer skills can now create their own IPTV channel using this drag-and-drop functionality. Complete datpresenter™ IPTV programmes can be scheduled with corresponding slide content and interactive Flash elements. The software is a desktop application that supports multiple channels and is an optional bolt-on module for all other datpresenter™ products.

Simply drag-and-drop your media content into the on-screen scheduling window to create schedules of programmes similar to those you see in TV listings guides. Start times for each programme, news bulletin or advertising slot can be set against a real-time 24 hour clock. Custom metadata parameters show programme entries in the order and the time they will run.

Daily templates can be duplicated using a ‘copy and paste’ function and large programme schedules and content libraries can be navigated easily by inserting multiple (conditional) metadata filters. The application also has a statistical log to provide verification for advertisers that their commercial content has been delivered correctly and at the contracted time.

Stephen Clee, Managing Director of Datmedia, said: “The software we have developed makes it possible for anyone to broadcast their own TV station. datpresenter™ is the ultimate tool for reliably and cost-effectively harnessing next-generation IPTV triple play services using existing technology and networks.”
