OmniCast for STB Guarantees Up-to-Date STBs across the User Base
with Fast, Cost-Effective, and Simultaneous Software Delivery
Dayton, OH -- Stratacache today announced OmniCast for STB, a new
software solution that facilitates delivery of set-top box (STB)
software updates, digital rights management (DRM) upgrades, channel
guides, advertising, middleware, and operating system updates. This
product allows satellite, telco, cable, and wireless IPTV service
providers to deliver software updates to residential STBs with
higher efficiency and lower costs than ever before. By using
OmniCast’s unique compression and reliable multicast delivery
technologies, OmniCast for STB dramatically reduces the time and
network bandwidth required to push new or updated software to any

STB software update distribution is critical for service providers,

subscribers’ STBs. These updates ensure that content remains fully
protected with the latest security technology, offers new user
control features, or upgrades program guide services. With existing

delivery of all software code.
