Netanya, Israel -- BitBand, a leading provider of video delivery solutions for Telcos' broadband IP networks, announced that it has been selected by Swedish Space Corporation (SSC) for providing IPTV services to operators from its ground station, Stockholm Teleport.

SSC is a comprehensive Swedish space industry that designs, tests, launches and operates space systems. SSC’s ground station, Stockholm Teleport, provides satellite communication services, including uplink and downlink of TV and data, thus enabling Scandinavia based operators to provide high quality IP TV services to their customers.

SSC's ground station, Stockholm Teleport, receives a large number of TV channels and rebroadcasts them via broadband networks to various operators at the same time. BitBand's solutions employed with SSC are BitBand MaestroTM content distribution and server management suite and BitBand VisionTM servers.

"Choosing BitBand for providing our customers with IPTV services is based on the company's proven experience in the IPTV market, as well as the solutions' high availability," said Karl Magnusson, Manager Teleport Services SSC.

"We are honored to have been chosen by SSC, an innovative satellite communications provider, and take part in providing high quality entertainment packages and services to a growing number of operators in Scandinavia," said Michael Katznelson, VP Sales, BitBand
