Celeno’s OptimizAIR™ continues to be the
technology-of-choice for operators who want to provide subscriber
customers with video-grade Wi-Fi home networks. With its agreement
to provision customers with the Inteno device, Telenor becomes the
75th operator to deploy Celeno technology, representing a major
milestone for the chipset company.
“We are thrilled that Telenor has chosen the Inteno ZAP100 Video
Bridge to deliver IPTV services wirelessly in subscribers’ homes,”
said Conny Franzen, CEO of Inteno. “Designed for easy
self-installation and remote management, the ZAP100 is a robust
solution that is truly plug-and-play, delivering HD and SD IPTV
video streams from Ethernet-equipped broadband gateways or DVRs to
multiple IP set-top boxes.”
“Having now been selected by 75 carriers around the world, Celeno
has unmistakably demonstrated that its chip portfolio and embedded
technology is established as the world-class solution for
distributing video in the home,” said Gilad Rozen, CEO of Celeno.
“With the explosive growth of IPTV worldwide, we expect our
solutions to extend even further.”
Inteno and Celeno have partnered to deliver
Wi-Fi based, video-grade devices which are now deployed in multiple
service providers across Scandinavia. The ZAP-100 video bridge,
announced earlier in 2011, provides state of the art Wi-Fi
performance with QoS optimized for carrier-grade video service.
Celeno’s Wi-Fi chip, integrated into the ZAP
100, is powered by OptimizAIR™ technology, enabling the seamless and
reliable distribution of up to eight 1080p HD resolution video
streams. It includes channel-aware scheduling and rate selection for
perfect QoS and throughput/range performance and automatic channel
