End-to-end IPTV solution features the enhanced iPlex Video

IPTV Headend Video Compression Solutions
Visitors to this area can see TANDBERG Television’s industry-leading
compression solutions designed specifically to meet the needs of
telcos. The company will demonstrate a broad range of products
including the award winning RX8320 ATSC Broadcast Receiver and the
latest enhancements to the iPlex Video Processing Platform,
featuring integrated MPEG-4 AVC transcoding.
The latest iPlex UltraCompression platform redefines the economics
of HD transmission and provides the market leading multi-format
video processing platform with major improvements in picture
quality, offering crisp, vibrant video at extremely low bit-rates.
New image-enhancing techniques such as a single-slice video
processing architecture, multi-pass analysis and look-ahead encoding
also improve efficiencies and reduce bandwidth usage. When compared
to previous generations of HD MPEG-4 AVC products, the iPlex
UltraCompression platform can achieve significant efficiency
improvements.
