Paris, France -- Witbe and its Korean integrator Tricomtek have been
selected by Hanaro Telecom to provide a video quality monitoring
platform for their new HD IPTV services.
After the government’s authorization allowing local operators to
broadcast television content in October 2006, Hanaro planned to
launch a video service for Korean market and required a service
monitoring platform to ensure quality prior to launch.
Hanaro already has a pre-IPTV service based on
VoD download. With the launch of a full HD service, Witbe robots
provide three essential functions:
Hanaro is now using Witbe HD robot in their
labotary for pre-deployment.

Box models and manufacturers by measuring the quality and

quality of Hana TV in terms of zapping time and video and audio
quality on a 24x7 basis
- Controling the
network quality based on ETSI TR 101.290 MPEG-2 TS metrics.
