T-VIPS showcases additional features for the USA market at
NAB2008
Oslo, Norway -- T-VIPS AS, a Norwegian technology company that

transport of broadcast quality video signals, today announces that
it will be showcasing its advanced and award-winning ranges of
intelligent backhaul and distribution solutions at NAB2008.
Demonstrations will include the T-VIPS Video Gateways, which are
ideal for sports and news backhaul over IP and ASI video
distribution. This range includes T-VIPS’ pioneering JPEG2000
backhaul solutions, the TVG415 and TVG430. The T-VIPS NAB
demonstrations will include additional features introduced for the
US market and the T-VIPS regional adaptation solutions for digital
terrestrial. |

future and the rise of high definition TV and mobile TV, it is more
important than ever that video backhaul is as efficient and flexible
as possible. To enable broadcasters to achieve this, we pioneered
JPEG2000 real time backhaul solutions in our video gateway range,”

well as 270 Mbps local loop connections. In addition, the TVG
gateway range makes it possible to reduce running costs through the

Live demonstrations of the company’s Video Gateway range will be a
highlight of the T-VIPS NAB booth (SU 7730). The T-VIPS Video
Gateways are advanced solutions for the backhaul of HD and SD video
over IP and ASI networks. The range includes:
- TVG410 – backhaul of uncompressed SDI over IP
networks
- TVG415 – standard definition backhaul
utilizing JPEG2000
- TVG420 – MPEG-2 transport streams over
Gigabit Ethernet links
- TVG430 – high definition backhaul utilizing
JPEG2000
Also on show is the T-VIPS
cProcessor range of Transport Stream Processors, Multiplexers,
Redundancy Switches and the T-VIPS Connect management solution. The
cProcessor range has already won a number of major contracts for the
regionalization of terrestrial networks as part of Europe’s digital
switchover projects.
