Narrowstep evolves into international video-over-IP distributor
The benefits to Narrowstep’s clients are obvious, as TelVOS, enables
them to build their own television service or establish their own TV
portal. By distributing content to anywhere in the world, 24 hours a
day/7 days per week, a range of new commercial opportunities is
created and earnings streams from (in many cases) existing video
content are unlocked. To name a few: Content and service syndication,
pay-per-view and subscription services, advertising and sponsoring
revenue, SMS and voice response services, e-commerce, distributing
V(ideo)Zines, running Employee TV or Distributor TV Channels.
The recent explosive growth in Broadband connections has removed most
of the skepticism with regard to Internet. Corporate enterprises and
organizations are still extremely cautious when it comes to spending
large sums of money up-front, and the need for realizing positive
bottom-line results has increased dramatically. We are convinced that
Narrowstep’s client-offering fulfils this need, as it is both very
low-cost and extremely performance-oriented. |

scalable and replicable. At the end of 2004 the network was capable of
handling up to 8,000 simultaneous users at a connection rate of

simultaneous viewers at an average data rate of 800Kb/s by the end of
2005, and 120,000 simultaneous viewers by the end of 2006. This
