Hauppauge, NY -- At IBC 2007, Globecomm announced the publication of
a case study on site diversity for Measat Broadcast Network Systems.
Titled "Collaborative Partnership Creates a Unique Diversity Site
for ASTRO Satellite TV," the case study describes how the company
worked with ASTRO to improve availability and provide business
continuity in one of the rainiest parts of the world by designing
and installing a diverse uplink facility in Malaysia's Cyberjaya
technology hub. |

The product of three years' work, the
multi-site system monitors the satellite's beacon signal level and
can automatically switch service between ASTRO's primary site in
Kuala Lumpur and the Cyberjaya site in less than a second. The case
study discusses the business and technical challenges, and the
collaborative process that produced a unique solution. It is
available for download from the Press section (Case Studies; Media &
Entertainment) of the Globecomm Web site at www.globecommsystems.com.
