The IBC 2007 show is to feature an IPTV Zone for the first time, in
recognition of the fast-growing industry.
The zone will be in hall 12 of the exhibition, and will provide an
opportunity for application developers, content providers and
technology companies to showcase their offerings. There will also be
a series of free business briefings, examining the issues and
opportunities arising from IPTV deployment. |

At present there are over 20 companies
signed up for the IPTV Zone, including TANDBERG Television, Kasenna,
Thomson Grass Valley and Texas Instruments. Signiant has signed on
as a Platinum sponsor. In total there are expected to be around 50
companies exhibiting, some co-exhibiting, and a total of 40 stands
in the IPTV Zone. Daniel Corderoy, organiser of the IPTV Zone for
IBC, commented to IPTV News on the decision to launch a dedicated
IPTV Zone: "We identified IPTV as the emerging technology in the
market."
The IPTV Zone follows in the mould of the established Mobile Zone,
and will be held alongside the latter, with entry free to both for
all IBC visitors.
IBC 2007 will be held in the RAI Convention Centre, Amsterdam on 6
to 11 September 2007. More information can be found at www.ibc.org |
